My name is Caoilainn O’Flynn. My first name is pronounced Kay-leen, for those unfamiliar. I am the fortunate wife of Coilin O’Flynn. The American spelling of my lovely husband’s name would be Colin. We have shared our lives for thirty-six years and continue to do so daily.
We are blessed to have wonderful children. Our oldest is Seamus, followed quickly by Troya and then, of course, our Maeve. Not three years later came our Cara, then Liam and Teagan quite quickly. Rory and Sinead take up the rear of the line, with Sinead just now entering college. We’ve children that span quite a range in age as well as attitude. It would be difficult indeed to find a fellow more conservative than our Seamus or more liberal than our Sinead. What a delight that each of them grew to be the people that they are meant to be.
Although I take little credit for the people that my children have chosen to become, I have learned a great deal along the path and have been asked to share some of those experiences and the wisdom that comes with them. I’m only too happy to do so. From time to time I will drop by to answer any questions that are asked of me.
It must be said that although it is surely obvious that I’ll do little more than provide my opinion and that my opinion is worth nothing more than yours - it is my hope that we can get to know each other better. I am not a professional and can not provide any sort of expertise other than to recount that which I’ve learned through experience, but I am a firm believer that the more varied the group of persons you exchange ideas with, the better the ideas become with age.
